RuneScape Yakamaru's Boss Guide

First of all, it's important to note that during the battle, you won't notice Yakamaru running for the majority part. The boss will jump between pools when its health is dwindling. The pools in the room will display a phase where Yakamaru presents different designs and skills. You'll have to deal with a total of five phases that will cause 5.600.000 damage in all.

During the fight, Yakamuru is going to strike everyone who is within a 20x20 radius. There won't be a melee attacks at your back as such, but instead magic attacks in a melee distance. If you are three or more spaces from the boss you will then be hit with a melee attacks instead. These will include tentacles emerging from the ground and hit the player. In this regard, players that attack Yakamaru are able to take damage from it. To stop this the best option is to use Devotion or Debilitate all through. This can limit the damage you do.

When it comes to DPS players, you should ensure that you are within prayer distance of the boss. The precision that Yakamaru has is very high, but you can prepare yourself by having good defenses and armor. You can in turn expect certain boss attacks to be missed however it will be followed by another attack that isn't going to hit. The damage of this strike is only half the damage that could be done if the initial attack had landed. If you're a tank character in this situation, make sure you have the highest quality of armor possible. Follow the technique of tanking Yakamaru at a a melee distance, and you'll be good.

The Fight is Over

If you attempt to quit the fight, you'll receive a warning that Yakamaru hasn't taken to your cowardice well. Different messages will be displayed based on the circumstances. If you are out of combat with the boss, then you'll receive the message, "Yakamaru is displeased with your lack of courage, and is throwing harmful projectiles in your direction!" which will lead to 2.000 damage being dealt with players out of combat. The only way in which you can get rid of a failed killing is to request the group leader to expel you or exile you from the group.

RuneScape Yakamaru Boss The Team Roles

There are several roles that you should take on when fighting Yakamaru. For example, we will have the role of the Base Tank, which will serve as the main goal of Yakamaru. This is a tank that is able to absorb the higher damage that is taken in the fight. Additionally, there is a Poison Tank that will play the role of receiving Yakamaru's poison after the close of each pool. This poison is then given by Yakamaru to be killed.

The CPR duty is then to help with the Poison Tank following Yakamaru is poisoned as well as your North Tanks to do damage to the boss. These three are made up of stunning DPS and Sand tank distractions, and also to take out mirages in the north Old School RS Gold. This will stop them from killing your team players. There is the Shark Tag too which will come into effect in the phase of mirage. This will stop the deaths of DPS characters during this last part of the fight.
