Shadow of the Colossus

In its opening 10 minutes, Shadow of the Colossus evokes awe unlike any other game has ever managed to. One of the most memorable and nearly terrifying gaming moments is when you climb up the first ledge and face the first Colossus. While playing this game if you're getting Steam Disk Write Error then you need to restart your computer in order to fix it.  Fumito Ueda's sun-drenched action/adventure game is bathed in a muted, melancholic style that has become synonymous with his, albeit limited, works, from its lovely, decaying ruins to the gigantic, old Colossi.

The Last of Us Part 2

The Last of Us (2013) didn't hold back and opted for a morally murky rug pull rather than a neat, walk-into-the-sunset hero's win. Its sequel was even less likely; it was a story of retribution that put us in the position of a character we were made to despise from the beginning. The conflicting stories of The Last of Us Part 2's masterfully executed dual characters are conveyed without holding back, once again placing us in a more ambiguous zone than AAA games typically permit.

Red Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption not only utterly lost me in its expansive single-player world—to the point where I started speaking with a slight drawl because I was so used to hearing it—but it also dragged me into online gaming in a way that no other game had ever done. if you are wondering is red dead online cross platform then the answer is no. In Red Dead's Free Roam mode, I had never before been able to create my own stories and adventures (with both friends and complete strangers).

Metal Gear Solid

Metal Gear didn't really become a big issue until Snake secretly made his way onto the PlayStation. The gameplay was centred on stealth, and players were rewarded for outwitting Shadow Moses' defences subtly and cunningly, but during memorable boss bouts and over-the-top action setpieces, things regularly got raucous. But it was Metal Gear Solid's emphasis on storytelling and cinematic presentation that made it truly revolutionary. Slick cutscenes made Hideo Kojima's love of Hollywood action movies clear such as Gravity Falls Season 3, Yoji Shinkawa's character and mechanical designs gave a strong dose of anime sensibility, and the entire experience sounded beautiful owing to Harry Gregson Williams' music and a fantastic voice cast.
