The state of Michigan is making a history by deciding to ban the use of arbitration clauses in licensing contracts for businesses operating in the state. Public Act 10 prohibits the use of arbitration clauses in consumer services contracts, but this landmark legislation will prohibit the practice in all types of business contracts, including licenses for businesses.
