Ahead of the clash between Tranmere and Peterborough and Prenton Park this Saturday we caught up with Rovers fan The Goblin (not their real name) to discu s the sacking of Ronnie Moore, Les Parrys appointment and got their predictions for this weekends tie.THE POSH BLOG: As an outsider I have always wondered why you chose to sack Ronnie Moore after just mi sing out on a play-off spot. Is this something you regret or do you feel the board were right to hire someone else?THE GOBLIN: Regret. Ronnie wasnt perfect and after we lost to Scunthorpe in the JPT in his final season Trevor Williams Jersey , I was fed up, but the man managed to take us back there from what looked a season over position and in the proce s went on a run that united the club and fans and despite the agony at the end, it felt like the club might be on the up again. Cue the sacking.THE POSH BLOG: What were your initial feelings like when Les Parry was appointed seeing as he had no managerial experience before-hand?THE GOBLIN: I thought anyone was better than Barnes and McAteer whose organisation of tactics and especially in defence was appalling- Les played a more Ronnie-like style of play which suited the players. I was happy for him to be caretaker and glad we retained Willie Stargell Jersey our status, but I didnt want him to get the job permanently.Who needs Mourinho weve got our physio? Les Parry took over as manager after being physio beforehand.THE POSH BLOG: Moving on to this season now. You brought in two loan signings on deadline day. Do you believe these players will add something to the squad?THE GOBLIN: Difficult to say, not seen them. More optimistic about Mendy than I am Grandison.THE POSH BLOG: Other than these two loan signings who else did Les Parry bring in over the summer and whats your initial feeling about them?THE GOBLIN: Enoch Showunmi is at least a strong League One forward and looks a cla s above everyone else. The rest that weve brought in are trialists and rejects that no one else really wanted, which doesnt bode well, Jordy Mercer Jersey but we have to see how they get on over a period of time.THE POSH BLOG: After what has been a poor start to the season do you feel Les Parry is under pre sure or are the Prenton Park faithful still keeping patience with him?THE GOBLIN: Its mixed. Some blame our budget which is the worst its ever been since the Osterman (1980s) days and believe no one could succeed in this role, whereas others believe a proper manager could have made a better pre-season and found better players rather than just taking any player JB Shuck Jersey that gets offered to them. I personally feel hes out of his depth as permanent manager- he had a good enough squad last season to avoid the drop, but he didnt use the right players till the wrong ones ended up on the treatment table.THE Jason Martin Jersey POSH BLOG: It was obviously a bonus for you to keep hold of Ian Thomas-Moore but now he has handed in a transfer request would you rather see the back of him or are you happy that he is still a Tranmere player?THE GOBLIN: Both, but its midfield were lacking, so ITM will probably struggle to match last seasons goal tally whether hes committed or not.Ian Thomas-Moore has handed in a transfer request.THE POSH BLOG: Finally, where do you think you will finish this season and what do you predict the score will be at the weekend?THE GOBLIN: Between 19th and 22nd. 3-0 to Posh- our defence isnt awful, but CMS, Boyd and McLean should be too strong upfront.
