Willow flooring comes from fast-growing willow (Salix) trees and is one of the lightest, palest hardwoods available — nearly white to soft cream with faint grain. Very soft (Janka 600–900), it scratches and dents easily and is rarely used in solid form today. Most “willow” floors sold are engineered with a thin willow top layer. Loved for its clean, bright Scandi/beach-house look, but only suitable for light-use rooms.
